Just. So. Wrong.

These are the times that try men's souls. In the course of our nation's history, the people of Boston have rallied bravely whenever the Sox have been threatened. Today, a new crisis has arisen. The Boston Red Sox organization has changed the team's logo. The "Hanging Sox" has bumped the (redesigned) "Circle Sox" to alternative status, and the cherished "B" has been relegated to third place, even to be supplanted by the "Hanging Sox" on alternative home and road caps. Will it ever return? Citizens of Boston, don't you think it's a scandal how the "B" that got us through the dark decades, the 1986 heartbreak, the 1993 outrage, has been kicked 'neath the streets of Boston? Fight the logo change! Get the "Hanging Sox" off our players' caps! The "B", the "B" must return!

BBTB - Bring Back The B

The Red Sox are just trying to help the economy. Red Sox nation will have to buy new hats and jerseys. The economy will improve. We know the Yankees won't improve in 2009.

I beg to differ Mike. With CC and AJ they will have the most formidable rotation in the league and will be the prohibitive favorites to win the series. I'll betchya, and I hate the Yankees. Go Reds!

It's not as bad as all that. The 'B' will stay on the caps, most of the time. The "hanging sox" caps will only be worn in conjunction with the new alternate jerseys, probably once a week. It's not the end of the 'B'.

What about Foxx, what about Williams, and lest we forget, what about DiMaggio(Dom)? Grrr. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (I know, a butchery of the English language.)

By the way, will the Sox end up signing Teixeira?

Can't they be excommunicated for that? Or, burned at the stake?

I am just waiting for the day that Cleveland banishes Chief Wahoo--THAT, my friends, would be a true outrage--surpassing even this one!
